Stare into the Abyss Underwater at Big Lagoon!

Stare into the Abyss Underwater at Big Lagoon!

Big Lagoon is one of those majestic places that takes your breath away whatever angle you may be looking at it. It used to be a raw beauty amidst the raging boom of El Nido’s tourism – but now it’s a well-developed popular place and is a renowned diving spot in the entire world.

This sought-after tourism eyecandy is located in the island of Matinloc, El Nido. Like most lagoons in Palawan, Big Lagoon is framed by dark limestone formations that makes the clear water stand out more. The lagoon entrance has shallow clear water, but it turns into an emerald hue when you go to the deeper areas.

When you’re in El Nido, don’t pass up on the chance to kayak around Big Lagoon. You get to see sea snakes, turtles, urchins, and more marine life when you come here. It is especially fulfilling for nature lovers and those who want to bask themselves in the presence of sea creatures.

If you’re heading there, make sure to bring nothing but happiness and leave nothing but footprints! Enjoy!
